Sign in Montgomery, Alabama to repeal the Anti-immigration law HB56. Alabama has the most onerous and un-American anti-immigration law in the Untied States. This law was drafted by the Attorney General of Kansas and was used as a test case by far right extremists to see how far they can push this kind of legislation. We are a nation of immigrants. Unless you are 100% native American then you have immigrant ancestry in your blood.
Smell Flowers-Not smoke, sign in Bryant Park New York City, shot after a heavy June downpour. New York City has one of the most restrictive anti-smoking laws anywhere. Too bad they can’t do anything about the stench of garbage and piss during the hot summer months.
Don’t Forget Easter’s almost here, sign in store window in Oxford, Mississippi
The Flowers of the Hellebore or Lenten Rose, Photograph, Joseph De Sciose. It is one of the first flowers to bloom in the winter. It may still be cold but you can count on the Hellebore to come up and brighten your garden. It will naturalize easily in most gardens, so much so that after a few years you will have to thin it out and give seedlings to your friends.
Snowy Winter’s Day, yes it does snow, a little, in Alabama
